Clinical Supervision
I approach clinical supervision as a collaborative, relational process that supports both the development of clinical skill and the clinician’s own professional identity. Just as we hold space for our clients' complexity in therapy, I aim to hold space for yours in supervision. I lead with warmth, curiosity, and thoughtful attention to the dynamics that show up in the work.
My supervision style is rooted in psychodynamic thinking, with an emphasis on the therapeutic relationship, transference and countertransference, and the use of self in the room. I also believe supervision should attend to the whole clinician which include your clinical instincts, emotional responses, and evolving sense of confidence and voice.
In our work together, we may explore:
The emotional tone of the therapeutic relationship
What’s being enacted (or avoided) in the room
Your internal reactions and how they inform your understanding of the client
Technique and theory integration, as clinically appropriate
Questions of identity, power, and positionality - both in the therapy room and in supervision
I value a patient-centered approach that holds clinical depth, while also centering you - your process, your blind spots, your growth edges, and your wins. I aim to create a space that feels safe enough for uncertainty, honest reflection, and the occasional “I don’t know yet.”
Supervisees often tell me that our work helps them deepen their case conceptualization, expand their clinical confidence, and feel more anchored in their own therapeutic style.
I am currently available for individual supervision with licensed clinicians in California and New York. If you’re looking for a reflective, relational space to grow as a therapist, I’d love to connect.
